Moss REBRANDING 2014

Image
Moss Plastics will be rebranding to Essentra Components following the rebrand of our parent company Filtrona plc to Essentra plc. Essentra, an abstract name, was specifically chosen to capture what each of Filtrona’s businesses manufactures and supplies; namely millions of small but essential components which often play a critical enabling role in the products of the Company’s customers, everywhere and every day. Part of Essentra’s Vision 2015 strategy has been to progressively create a more unified culture, working together in a more co-ordinated way across the Company rather than down the divisions so as to leverage the Group’s collective skills and capabilities more effectively. New Shark Taps

Image
Dormer Shark Line takes a bite out of threading Dormer Tools has introduced a new range of taps for material specific applications branded “Shark Line” . Designed to obtain superior performance, all Shark taps feature a coloured ring that signifies the specific material type it is suited to. The programme encompasses spiral point taps for through-hole applications, spiral flute taps for threading blind holes and, in the case of white ring taps for cast iron, straight flute taps for both through or blind holes. Shark Line taps are manufactured from a HSS-E-PM substrate specifically developed for taps to give the additional toughness required, consistently stable properties and a superior grind-ability compared to conventional high-speed steels. These improved characteristics mean the taps have a more predictable and assured life.   Advanced geometry ensures the production of excellent threads at both high and low cutting speeds. Furthermore it prevents unnecessary bu...
